Find events with Ask IREX
Ask IREX finds events without opening the search screen: the request can simply describe what to look for in plain language, or include a photo. Ask IREX queries the platform, returns a short summary of what it found, and provides a link that opens the same results in the workspace with the filters already applied.
Ask IREX is available from the main IREX interface and as a bot in the Sover secure messenger. This topic covers the Sover flow, which is the one field officers use from any device. For what Ask IREX is, where else it runs, and the guardrails it operates inside, see Ask IREX.
Availability. Ask IREX is shipping in beta on selected instances. To confirm whether a specific deployment is in scope, contact the IREX representative for the region.
What can be asked
-
Describe an event in plain words (for example, "red trucks near the Central crossroads yesterday afternoon").
-
Send a photo to search for similar people or vehicles.
-
Ask for a quick summary or count of the events that match the request.
How it works
-
Send a request (text or photo) to Ask IREX in Sover.
-
Ask IREX interprets the request, searches the platform, and replies with a brief result and, where relevant, a short analysis.
-
Click the link in the reply to open the results in the workspace, with the search filters pre-set, for reviewing, playing back, and acting on the events as usual.
Ask IREX reads only data already authorized for viewing and returns links into the normal workspace; it does not grant any access beyond existing permissions. Where the underlying action requires a Case ID, the requirement holds for a request made through Ask IREX.
Natural-language interpretation is best-effort. If a result looks wrong, refine the wording or use the on-screen event search.
